The very fact that you want to atone for what you've done already makes you a better man than you've been. There's always the risk of backpedaling, true, but if you need a support system... I can offer that.
I think it's only fair for me to warn you that I'm not exactly a helpless victim. While I'm sure having you there while I get a drink would deter anyone who might try something inappropriate, that wouldn't put you at any real advantage over me. I'm quite capable of taking care of myself if you or anyone else attempted something salacious, but I'd very much like to give you the benefit of the doubt.
